Our client is one of the world's fastest growing semiconductor companies who sell their products to the industrial, communications, consumer, & computing markets around the globe. They're known for their diverse range of Mixed-Signal/Analog Integrated Circuit (IC) products & due to their recent success they're actively seeking an Audio Algorithm Engineer for their voice products team. This team is looking to achieve breakthroughs in algorithms for enhanced speech communications as well as music playback.

What you will be doing.

  • Candidates will be responsible for researching audio signal algorithms to improve our client's voice/audio product line.
  • Candidates will do publications reviews as well as develop algorithm candidates.
  • Candidates will help select the most achievable algorithms & develop prototypes in a speed manner.
  • Candidates will test the performance of these prototypes according to industry standards & work with the company's Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineers to bring these prototypes to production.
  • Candidates will also be responsible for contributing to IP activities by fostering innovation & patent applications.

What you need to work here.

  • Our client requires @ least a MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field. MSEE & PhD level candidates are preferred.
  • Candidates must have @ least 5 to 10 years of experience with strong expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) as well as R&D efforts related to developing audio algorithms.
  • Candidates with a background in loudspeaker sound management are a plus.
  • Candidates must be an expert in algorithm modifications as well as optimization in "floating-point" & "fixed-point" w/o affecting algorithm performance.
  • Candidates with strong MatLab & C coding skills are also a plus.
  • Candidates must have strong organizational/communication skills & be a "self-starter" when it comes to independent research.
